What is an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound?
Abdominopelvic ultrasound can visualize organs in the abdomen and pelvic region such as the gallbladder, liver, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, bladder, ovaries, uterus and prostate. It can:
- look for tumors or infections;
- explore an inflammatory syndrome;
- to monitor the progress of cancer.
