What is a pelvic MRI?

Pelvic MRIs are used to assess the organs of the lower abdomen: the bladder, urethra, uterus, vagina, ovaries, Fallopian tubes, seminal vesicles, prostate and rectum. They also can be used to evaluate vascular elements (veins and arteries).
